Drainage Ventilation Products ByStudor

Effective drainage ventilation using the principles of Active Control has many benefits, including:

  • Saves cost through reduced labour, materials and roof penetrations.
  • Reduces labour by cutting installation time and, equally as important, allowing plumbers to install plumbing venting that works first time, and  so reduces callouts and remedial work.
  • Eliminates the need for roof or surface penetrations; by reducing the requirement to work at height a safer working environment is provided, as well as maintaining the integrity of the roof.
  • Results in a safer, quieter and better operating drainage system versus alternative drainage solutions.
  • Allows for creative building design.

The ByStudor range of products, which provide effective drainage ventilation, should be on every plumber’s parts list:

  • Handi-Vent 4 – a compact, high functioning Air Admittance Valve (AAV) for drainage ventilation.
  • External AAV kit – an AI rated AAV with an Aluminium Cover – approved for external installation.
  • Trap-Vent – a combined trap and AAV for group venting with a compact design.
  • Tec-Vent – a specialist flame retardant AAV.
  • Maxi-Filtra – a practical two-way vent for external drainage systems and septic tanks.

Problems with residential, and some commercial, drainage ventilation systems can be generated by negative pressure within drainage branches (causing induced siphonage). This can result in toilet, kitchen and shower smells. Drainage ventilation systems incorporating the ByStudor products provide the necessary air requirements for the plumbing venting, avoiding the risk of losing the water trap seal and, thereby, eliminating drainage smells.

Simple, discrete and easy to install, our drainage ventilation products decrease the number of pipes that need to penetrate the roof and walls of a property, saving money, eliminating the risk of water leakages and reducing heat loss. They avoid the need to work at height and reduce the amount of materials required to ventilate a soil system without any compromise on performance. The AAV products are CE marked and rated AII in accordance with European Standard EN12380.

ByStudor products are equally suited to new-build, retrofit and problem solving applications.  Please click here for further information about our drainage ventilation products, contact us today, or visit Studor’s website*

For internal installation, the ByStudor Handi-Vent AAV provides plumbing drainage-ventilation to prevent the loss of water trap seals in low rise buildings.

It allows air to enter the drainage system, but does not allow foul gas to escape, in order to limit pressure fluctuations within sanitary pipework.
